Memory keeping, got photos?

here's an idea from Stampin Up...

Memory Keeping Made Easy
Memory keeping does not have to be a chore. In fact, it can be a fabulous experience when you use our Memories & More Card Packs! All you need is a Basic Black 6" x 8" (15.2 x 20.3 cm) Album, Variety Pack 6" x 8" (15.2 x 20.3) Photo Pocket Pages, and your choice of Memories & More Card Packs.
Filling the album pages is easy! Simply insert photos, then add double-sided cards, specialty cards, and embellishments from the Memories & More Card Pack for a super-simple way to preserve your memories.
For extra fun, you may want to decorate the album cover. As you can see with our masculine Hello Adventure Album, we fussy cut images and sentiments using World of Good Memories & More Cards. The torn edges on the Designer Series Paper add a rugged texture—or you might want to add a little ink spatter using a Water Painter and ink to give it a “grunge” look and feel.
To create the Beautiful Baby Girl Album, we fussy cut flowers and die-cut letters (using Playful Alphabet Dies) from the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper. We also stamped floral images on the Designer Series Paper for added interest. The result is pretty and feminine and oh-so-easy to achieve!
We hope we’ve inspired you to get out your shoeboxes filled with photos and give them a new home! And remember to share your results on social media. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Xmas cards from a cutting template...

I received a cutting template from Klompenstampers.com in her newsletter,

which was a great help in making more cards...

So I managed to get 6 cards from one sheet of 6x6 patterned paper,

and a half sheet of cardstock for the mounts.  Of course it also needs

6 cards bases, scraps for stamping greetings and ribbon and bling!

So I carried on with the next set,

Birthday cards

DSP and cardstock ready to go...

Based on the experience of the first set, I placed the greeting out by my white 1/2 sheet

Then stamped and diecut the first 3...

then I could Punch out the last 2, and emboss on the cardstock Circle cut out of the mat.

A very economical way to use your Patterned paper (DSP)

Christmas cards are coming...

Started off the Christmas season already...

these are a CASE from a card I received last Christmas from my upline Pauline.

These four are off to the Urban Crafters shop, George Street, Dunedin.
The card is our normal half A4 base size, but with a different fold to still fold flat
and fit in a standard NZ envelope.

To Make:
cut your sheet of A4 in Half - LENGTHWISE
place this half with the LONG side at the top of your scoreboard,
and score at 2 3/4 inches, 5 1/2; 8 1/4 and at 11 inches.
this leaves a tab end of 7/8" to fold in to make the 'box'.

the decoration pieces are as follow:
Four pieces of Coloured cardstock 2 1/2 in by 3 7/8"
3 pieces of Patterned paper   2 1/4 in by 3 5/8
One piece of vanilla cardstock 2 1/4 by 3 5/8

You also need a scrap of vanilla to Gold emboss the greeting on
and another piece for the oval mount to put under the greeting.
Also two pieces of cardstock to use as Hinges behind the greeting.

Note, 6 x 6"  pieces of paper are not quite big enough to cut the 3 pieces,
so you could try 2 the same at the front and a different pattern on the back.

Add some rhinestones on the front, some ribbon if you have some,
and it's done.

It's coming around again...

Simply Christmas

All from the Holiday Catalogue at stampinup.com

Get a head start on your Christmas projects. Stampin' Up! have a suggestion
as you start planning: keep it simple. Obviously, keeping your crafting simple saves time.
But simple projects can also be simply beautiful—clean, fresh, uncluttered.
Whether you’re a beginning stamper looking for something uncomplicated
or an experienced stamper looking for something quick, you’ll love these projects!

To create these cards and the belly band for the Rectangle Tin, all you need
are stamps, ink, paper, and punches. Stamp, cut, adhere—that’s it!
Simple doesn’t mean boring, and these projects are evidence of that.
Designer Series Paper quickly adds colours and patterns,
and punched shapes add interest.
And because these projects are simple, it’s easy to make multiples.

Flipping out over the Flip album...

These cute Flip albums are a great way to share, or display, a moment in time.

This travel themed one I made a while ago, I decided to fill with photos from

my tripping around the world - lovely to look at while we are home-bound.

I decided to use photos of the People I travelled with or met along the way...
Some of the journaling can be added direct to the 'page' where the lighter coloured cardstock
allows, or you can add journaling spots over the patterned paper.

here are the earlier photos I took of the blank book...

I will be making more of these books in various Themes,
and posting them here on my Goods for Sale page...
if you have a WANT for one of your own, please contact me
and I will be able to tailor it to your own theme,
happy stamping...

Hasn't been a newsletter for a while...

One little job I tried to do while in lockdown,
was sorting out - decluttering the
heaps of card-related PAPER I have everywhere,

One box had copies of my newsletters from 2007 even,
when I was selling TLC scrapbooking kits...
most of it went in the fire,
I took photos of some,
(and I still have some).

Anyway, here is the latest version,

Christine's newsletter

Happy reading...only 2 pages this time.

Cards for these strange times...

Managed to get into my craft room this afternoon...

this is a cheerful card
the saying says
"Sending Joy and
Sunshine
Not Germs"

I used the NEW Old World
Paper embossing folder,
coming in June.

And this one I thought
the saying sorta reflected the
NEW World Map dies -
any excuse to use them.

These sayings are from the
Covid-19 digital pdf,
which can be ordered
online at this page
US $12, (double it!)

By last week $161,000 US
had been raised, all to go to
helping with the pandemic.

More designs included (but not all 15 pages)

Sometimes referred
to as Share Sunshine,
a sharing of sunny
hopeful greetings/giftboxes.

Watch for a Sunny
gift box coming
to NZ in August.

the new catalogue is coming...

I still get excited after 11 years of new catalogues....
my preorder is in and a box of catalogues is on its way.

I did make some cards, and a scrapping pack for the regulars to hopefully inspire them,
before we meet again.

this is the page I scrapped, showing my cousin Martha Bennett Scott, a first cousin three times removed!

The cards I made were all made from my scrap basket, and I used the NEW digital Covid19
giveback 'stamps' available online from Stampin Up!

Wow, what a difference 6 months can make...

Still in lockdown in New Zealand, going back to Level 3 next week,
which will not change much for me personally, as having ME/CFIDS
I will be extra careful still. Getting priority for grocery deliveries has
been a godsend, all I've ventured out for is fuel for the farm.
I will like the opportunity to order goods next week - including Stampin Up
of course.

The retiring list is out tomorrow, so I will be placing an order,
for the people who have contacted me. AND this could be the last one -
I am not meeting the minimums required
so it could be a retirement for me as well!

I do still plan to have classes at the farm here, when allowed. We were going
to start on 4th April, but that was locked down. I haven't crafted much,
with paper, in the last 6 months. I do aim to. as I do have BOXES  and shelves
of crafty stuff.

Please get in touch if you want items from Stampin Up,
I will be stocking up on adhesive, 12 x 12 cardstock and I must get that Tropical item
I wanted....
